Ink and Acrylic Paintings

April Goeke is a college instructor and painter from Southern Illinois. She specializes in nature paintings of all sorts of subjects. Her main medium is ink and acrylic but she has dabbled in all types of materials including oils and watercolors. She went to SIU of Carbondale and Murray State University for Art with an emphasis on painting.
Besides art, April spends much of her time gardening, exploring rural areas, hiking in the woods, and rescuing animals. Much of her inspiration comes from stories she's heard or her own experiences with the outdoors. Some of her work is just to fulfill her fascination with unusual creatures from exotic locations. |
